Soccer Philosophy: The soccer landscape has changed dramatically over the 40+ years in which I have been involved. The changes have made me more passionate about staying involved. I believe whole heartedly that soccer should be available to all interested in playing & that it is possible to have a level for all to play. Physical ability, location, & economic status should not be barriers to playing. I believe it is a governing board’s responsibility to ensure access to all and to grow the sport accordingly.
Coaching Philosophy: OI have always believe that as a coach and mentor, an adult has an amazing opportunity to reach the youth of our sport. The ability to instill positive character traits, to teach the importance of group dynamic values and to have an impact in the overall life lessons that sport participation has to offer an athlete is an incredibly rewarding aspect of coaching. In my 21 years of coaching experience, I have tried to create an atmosphere of accountability, ownership, leadership, competitiveness, confidence, respect, and commitment. I consider my coaching a success when these characteristics are used by another coach, teacher, employer or parent to describe any of my players.
