Maryland State Youth Soccer Association
Sponsorship Opportunities
The Marketing Audience
The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association administers multiple events each year. Two of these events are – the National Championship Series State Cup and the National Presidents Cup. These events begin in March and culminate the first weekend in June. The winners of these two competitions represent Maryland and advance to the regional tournament. This is the largest event that includes only Maryland and DC teams at any point during the year, at any location.
The cups offer an excellent opportunity to capitalize on the growing soccer interest created by the World Cup and Olympic soccer matches, qualifiers and friendlies played in Maryland and DC over the years. The demographics of the cup programs makes the events an ideal vehicle for product and service marketing, as well as image enhancement within the local communities.
The direct audience includes 350 teams, over 5,600 boys and girl’s youth soccer players, about 2,000 officials, including coaches, managers, referees, volunteers; and at least 15,000 parents, plus siblings and other relatives, friends, and fans who attend as spectators.
The indirect audience includes readers of the cups publicity in area and community newpapers; soccer coaches and administrators who see the cups calendar listing and other promotional material in soccer publications; and other who see the information in materials before and after the event on the MSYSA website.
The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association was established in 1976 as a non-profit youth association that is dedicated to growing the game of soccer in Maryland and DC.
