Hi all,
You all have faced so many challenges in 2020 and 2021 and thankfully we are starting to come out of the other side of this pandemic, more ready than ever to get out on the field and play the beautiful game. It’s been an exciting State and Presidents Cup season so far with a ton of fantastic games going down to the wire.
We’re so very thankful for the opportunity to get back to what we love doing the most; but it has not been lost on us that so many children do not have the same opportunities to get out on the field and experience the many great benefits of playing sports!
We couldn’t be more excited or proud to continue our collaboration with Leveling the Playing Field (LPF) at our State and Presidents Cup Championship Finals weekend coming up on June 5th & 6th at the Maryland SoccerPlex, Germantown, MD!

Leveling the Playing Field & MSYSA Partnership
Did you know that 1 in 5 underserved households are not getting their kids involved in athletics because of the rising price of sporting equipment? Leveling the Playing Field (LPF) is a nonprofit organization that gives children in under-resourced communities the opportunity to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of youth sports participation. LPF does this through the collection of used/excess sports equipment from schools, manufacturers, companies, and families. After being inventoried and sorted at the LPF warehouse, the equipment is then redistributed to a school, sports league, or other organization serving an under-resourced community and placed into the hands of a child who cannot afford their own equipment. MSYSA will be partnering with Leveling the Playing Field at the State and Presidents Cup Championship Finals weekend on June 5th & 6th to collect all types gently used soccer and other types of sporting equipment.
Please reference the List of Accepted Donation Items to see if LPF is able to accept your donation.
All equipment donations can be dropped off at the MSYSA registration tent throughout the weekend between 9:00AM – 5:00PM. Tournament staff will also be able to direct you to the donation drop off location.
