Can you believe it is that time of year, AGAIN! Please find herein pointers for an AMAZING start of the New 2024-2025 Seasonal Year!
Available commencing May 20, 2024, Please complete the Affiliation 2024-2025 form. If you are a returning affiliate, then you do not need to upload your Bylaws again. We already have them on file.
I do encourage everyone to watch our Best Practices from earlier this May as we did revise a few things:

Available on June 1, 2024, for the 2024-2025 Seasonal year, we are ONLY carding Travel teams in the 2024-2025 MSYSA OFFICIAL TRAVEL ROSTERS (MD State). So, after you register your teams to our carding event, please make sure to BUILD your rosters under this event ONLY. This roster is what will then be sourced into your league rosters such as EDP managed Conferences, EDP Leagues, CMSSL etc. You DO NOT build your rosters in GotSport directly in ANY of the league events your team registers to.
To register for this event in GotSport, you should follow the steps below:
Club Management -> Dashboard -> Registration (top of page) -> Select Register of 2024-2025 MSYSA OFFICIAL TRAVEL ROSTERS (MD State) event -> Register Necessary teams as indicated above.
Please make sure to review our approval Requirements page as there are a few updates.
Team Submission & Approval Requirements
Please make sure that your Team Officials and Staff complete their requirements AFTER July 1. All Requirements are available once you have assigned the USYS Affiliation to that person’s role. Staff will then be able to be added to your 24/25 Roster AFTER they complete ALL their compliance requirements found in their GotSport Dashboard. Please be sure that EVERY staff member completes their ENTIRE profile to include their date of birth in GotSport with their legal information to avoid delays. In addition, every head shot uploaded for players prior to January 1, 2023 will be purged from the system on June 30th. So, please be prepared to upload a proper forward-facing head shot of the player, similar to a passport-style photo. For further details on acceptable images, please visit our website.
Please DO NOT age up the teams in your Club Management! ALL teams will be AUTOMATICALLY aged up on August 1, 2024.
Please also make sure to review our Transfer process. Please remember, players do NOT “Transfer” if they are moving to a New Club for the upcoming 2024-2025 seasonal year. Families simply register using their EXISTING GotSport account to their new club using the player registration link you would have created for your Club’s 2024-2025 season. Please remember that once you have completed creating your Player Program for 2024-2025, I am happy to review it for you BEFORE you send it to your families to register with your Club.
Depending on your needs, if you would like to use any part of the additional features and tools to organize your Club’s management, please contact Dave Buchanan at [email protected] or set-up an Intro Call with GotSport, directly. You may opt for the full partnership package to include Financial & Billing Tools with Merchant Services to collect your Club/Team fees, Team Communications App, League/Tournament Software, Club Websites, etc.
MSYSA allows only ONE account per player. PLEASE make sure that players use their EXISTING GotSport account when registering for this new year to avoid losing their APPROVED ITC Questionnaire and age ID verifications! If you know a player played in this last seasonal year AND you are being prompted to age ID verify the player and/or complete the ITC Questionnaire, then this is your first sign that this is an erroneous account. These erroneous duplicate player accounts will not be approved.
Every COMPLETELY NEW TRAVEL carded player is required to answer the ITC Questionnaire in the Dashboard of their GotSport account:
After registering with your Club, Please have the parent of EVERY NEW TRAVEL player log back in to their GotSport account, select “FAMILY”, select the Player’s name, then select “DASHBOARD”, and then “DETAILS” beside the Player Compliance requirement, International Transfer Clearance (ITC) Questionnaire and complete the Questionnaire. Please read the questions carefully and reply correctly to insure there is no delay in their approval process.
This task will only need to be completed ONE time and will then stay with that player through the years as we continue to use GotSport as our carding/rostering platform.
Club Administrators- you can see if the requirements have been completed by going to the player’s account under Club Management- Player. Selecting the player’s name, then “REQUIREMENTS”. There you will see International Transfer Clearance (ITC) Questionnaire. It should either have the status of Approved or Review. If it states REQUIRED, then it means it has not been completed and the family must still complete by answering the ITC Questionnaire.
Once MSYSA REVIEWS any status that states Review, you may then see Pending as the status for the International Transfer Clearance (ITC) Questionnaire under REQUIREMENTS for the player. This means the player does require the FORMAL US SOCCER ITC. For a detailed overview of when a clearance is required, the clearance process, all application forms AND HOW TO SUBMIT, please visit the U.S. Soccer website – INTERNATIONAL CLEARANCE OVERVIEW section. Please make sure you cc, [email protected] on every ITC submission to US Soccer.
Once the family does receive their approval directly from US Soccer, they will upload their approval that they received from US Soccer in the document’s tab of their GotSport account under the pre-existing MSYSA label “US Soccer- Approved ITC directly from US Soccer/FIFA.” Once you email me that the task is complete, I will then approve the player’s upload AND Approve their ITC Questionnaire, so they can be placed on the roster for approval on their team.
Once a team is COMPLETELY ready for approval, remember to Submit teams for approval using our 2024-2025 Approval Request Ticket within the GotSport platform. Each Team requires its own thoroughly completed approval request. Please select Dashboard – Affiliations - MSYSA Available Forms to submit. In addition, we will continue to use our 2024-2025 MSYSA Club Support Tickets for all matters related to support. Essentially, ONLY ITCs submitted to US Soccer in which we require us to be cc’d on, COI requests, Permission to Travels, and Transfer Documents should be emailed to [email protected].
